Black lives matter
But before you judge
Take a trip back in history
You were told never to venture alone in the jungle
Because if you disobey you will be caught
You were sold to the merchants of the ships
By your own people of greed

At the plantation you were told
Those living in the house
Were better than those in the field
But all that time you were living in mental slavery
It is time to wake up my brethren
Take the blindfold from your eyes
And the shackles from your mind

You were oppress by thy dictator
Look down by the aggressor
Rob of your dignity
Because of the colour of your skin
Why were you hated by your brethren so?
Because you lived a life of hatred all your life
You stop believing in equal justice for all

In order to break these chains
You need to stop the fighting amongst yourself
Because brethren you are your worst enemy
Rise above the storm
Be that beacon for one another
Learn to live in peace and unity
Then you can safely say
Black Lives Matter
